Jocurile Paralimpice: Laura Văleanu, locul 14 la slalom uriaș

Singura reprezentantă a României la Jocurile Paralimpice de la Vancouver, Laura Văleanu, s-a clasat miercuri pe locul 14 în proba de slalom uriaÅŸ, din cadrul concursului de schi alpin.

Văleanu, care a abandonat în proba de slalom, a încheiat pe locul 15 prima manşă, cu timpul de 1 min 35 sec 21-100, iar la final s-a clasat pe locul 14, cu timpul total de 3 min 06 sec 04/100.

Victoria a revenit canadiencei Lauren Woolstencroft, cu timpul de 2 min 34 sec 03/100.

Văleanu (19 ani) este prima româncă participantă la Jocurile Paralimpice.

Robert, I often think of my friends in voraius parts of the Pacific at Christmas time and always send them a Christmas E-mail or a phone call. Yes, the world and the woes of nature does not stop for 25/12, the sadness continues. Been there done that but our challenging life goes on. I came home to Australia yet again to get dressed in a Santa Suit for my Grandchildren. You know? for me that is the best part of getting old, you get to be Santa! and you actually look the part because you have become the right shape . you actually start to feel like Santa! (I told the hairdresser . dont touch the eyebrows!!) Santa came on a plane? My Dad picked him up! was overheard. I love it! family, grandchildren, .. but thoughts of my Pacific friends are deep inside me. Life goes on. Have a Happy Happy New Year and wish for a Happier PNG Ray
